Creative Arts College is an award winning Institute of Excellence which specialises on providing accredited, globally recognised and relevant programmes that will develop a graduate to enter the industry either as a high profiled employee or as an employer. All our courses have a practical focus, thereby giving students hands on experience with equipment and production simulations.
We ensure that all our lecturers are not just qualified and able to teach but also directly involved in the industry. Apart from our industry professional lecturers, students are also visited by SME’s (Subject Matter Experts) and celebrity guests allowing students to learn and network with their idols. Students are also taken out on subject matter excursions where they are given exclusive tours and behind the scenes views and information. We have a comprehensive Quality Management System which ensures a well structured and controlled learning environment.
Our '4' PillarsWe are bridging the gap between education and industry by participating in a more meaningful and tangible way in relation to ensuring our learners succeed; Not only in the classroom but also in the industry.
Pillar 1: KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
Our learners are trained and developed with the necessary knowledge and skills to participate in the industry as a valuable employee as well as a potential entrepreneur. The knowledge and skills are formulated and delivered in a way that ensures better understanding and career longevity.
Pillar 3: PORTFOLIO
The nature of the Creative Media and Communications Sector is such that a
learner needs to reprensent their capacity and skill set through different
mediums along with their CV’s. Demo tapes, Showreels and Photo Portfolios
are some of the prerequisites when it comes to showcasing your abilities in
the media sector. This is usually a costly affair and is often not specialists in the field. Our learners enjoy these supporting features free as it is part of
the learning programme at Creative Arts College.
Pillar 2: EXPERIENCE
Our learners are afforded actual work experience on practical projects which allows them the opportunity to present such experiences in their CV’s, as opposed to entering the industry on a “back foot” as most young graduates sadly struggle through.
Pillar 4: OPPORTUNITY
Creative Arts College is part of the South African Film Institute Group and is directly involved in the media and communication sector. Our learners have firsthand access to many opportunities throughout the academic year as well as after they officially become a Creative Arts College Graduate.
